A usenet forum that was the birthplace of the modern online Therian community in the 1990s and 2000s. Though now defunct many of the pages have been archived by google.

A dissertation by Devin Proctor, this read provides another academic deep dive into alterhuman spaces, especially in the digital world, as well as covering a brief bit of history of the community at large. This document primarily focuses on Otherkin and Therians.

The Virtual Howl is a group dedicated to social events and education online related to the alterhuman community and identities. The group is open to the public for all those identifying as alterhuman, friends of, or just simply interested in learning with an open mind.
Therian/Otherkin of VRChat is a group within VRChat dedicated to those with Therian or Otherkin identities.
Crossroads is a therian community that started on IRC for members of the AHWW newsgroup. With IRC's decline in usage, the group had migrated to Telegram. This group is 16+ only.
A spin off channel for Crossroads dedicated to posting media.
